On my phone the 'record track' button appears as a black square with a black circle inside it, not a red one. If I press it to record a track it turns to a solid black square. I must have pressed it by mistake because it had been recording for about 10 days or more. I didn't know it was recording but I can see the start date and route stats. It had logged almost 200 km but most of this was a 'starburst' around where I live. I also noticed my battery was running down faster than usual.
When I discovered what was happening, I tried to stop it recording. Perhaps I succeeded but I was unable to delete the track. It said "Is this the active track?" on a red background and then it changed to another message something like "disable active track [follow in waypoint mode]" again on a red background. I'm not sure what that means.
I am still confused about the Tracks menu item that says "clean Track" and I wonder if it should be "clear Track" or, maybe better, "remove Track". Just a thought.
Thanks again for your help.
