Really disappointed about scoped storage... Android is becoming too similar to iOS. Android 12 destroyed everything that made it useful and simple.
I understand the limitations of oruxmaps... but I don't accept that android prevents access to a normal file manager.

Oruxmaps is a nightmare with scoped storage, no way to easily share gpx files.
Now I use an old phone with an old Oruxmaps version. Works well.

Use previously this beta apk if you want to use the directories in the root of the internal/SD storage.

Hope you  will find a solution for 9.x Oruxmaps problems with scoped storage...
(I.E.: I am able to to import a gpx files in Locus app, both from whatsapp & email, and also from any directory of my choice. Using Orumaps 9.x direct import is not optimized/possible).

Premium user, tired of Oruxmaps v.9.x. It's a nightmare.

Is there a way to obtain Oruxmaps v. 8.x apk? I will use it w/ an old android version, without scoped storage.

Hello, this night I solved the problem... using X-Plore File manager I'm able to see the directories.
I realized that, after moving MapStyles to the correct directory, I have to re-start Oruxmaps app, in order to be able to recognize the files.

Well, how to put mapstyles in a new installation? I can not choose directories, ok, but I don't know the exact place to move files in the fixed directories. It's a nightmare. Oruxmaps is not able to find my mapstyles (Tiramisu 3) even if they are in the correct directory. Dem, geocaches, cursors directories...
IT'S A NIGHTMARE. Ok, it's android 11, but there must be an easier way to do a fresh install.

Hello. I broke the old phone, so I installed Oruxmaps 9.03 on a new smartphone. When I go to settings, the position of maps, tracklogs and other things are *fixed* and I can not change them.
Ok, but I have not access to this directories on the phone with the built-in archive app: I have to use Total Commander app to make this directory visible.

AND: Ok, Oruxmaps tells that I can put the maps into an alternative directory on SD card (fixed path an name ). But Oruxmaps didn'n create this directory when I installed it: I have to create it manually (very long path name).
Well, I think this is a few complicated for an average user  .

A me accadeva perché al momento dell'indicizzazione erano presenti cartine che nel nome dei file avevano l'apostrofo! (es: Val d'Ultimo, Isola d'Elba).

Il problema non si manifesta su tutti i telefoni/versioni di Android. Sul mio Samsung con Android 6.01 era presente, sul mio Sony con Android 4.4 no.

Cmq, rimosse o corrette dette mappe, è tornato tutto ok.

Non utilizzare alcun carattere speciale nei nomi dei files.
