Thanks for your help, but it's not fully clear to me (non native English speaker?)
I understand from you post that the user interface settings are not saved in the profile.
I tried to enable "unified interface" in the settings, but then my customization disappears. It's back if I uncheck it.
So how can I copy the user interface settings to other devices?

- fixed summer_toboggan captions, changed mini_roundabouts, changed zoom-min for bays

Beginner interface , basic , complete , unified .
This you have to select your, once you have put the same interface you will see how your profile if applicable, for example the button panel

I am using OruxMaps v. 10.7.4 GP.
I created a profile 'orux' on my phone [Samsung S24, Android 14]. I have fine tuned the buttons the way I want them. I would like now to have the same UI configuration on my tablet [Google Nexus 2013 with Lineageos, Android 13]. I installed a fresh OruxMaps on the tablet. I copied from the phone to the tablet the file '...oruxmaps\preferences\4.2\om2_orux.xml' to the same place. I checked before that the file timestamp matches the moment I adjusted the profile.
On the tablet in the profile menu I then press sync. The profile 'orux' appears in the list. I press it and select load. The UI is not updated.
What am I missing?

I don't know if my question is in the right topic, sorry if it isn't.
I bought an ANT+ beurer digital box and paired it as a pedometer with Orux. I set up an ANT+ speed field to see my speed in real time.
Unfortunately, the sensor is not properly calibrated. If I'm walking, the calibration isn't so bad, but when I'm running, it's not accurate.
The official way to calibrate it is to buy a Beurer watch and use the sensor with it.
To get around the problem, I paired it with a Garmin watch as a Foot pod and discovered that there is a "Calibration Factor" setting.
This parameter can be set manually and, what's more, it can be calibrated automatically and continuously, so my speed is very accurate.
It seems that the automatic calibration is based on GPS distance, I don't know if the calibration factor is updated every km (if GPS satellites are accessible, which is sometimes difficult in the woods).
The question is: would is be possible to add a field to enter a calibration factor value for an ANT+ foot?
If so, would it be possible to add another parameter with a distance to update the auto-calibration dynamically (every 100m every 1KM
)

ERRORES/BUGS / Image to Map in Maptools with ...
Last post by VAHiker - November 10, 2024, 01:35:27 AMI downloaded a PDF of Patuxent River Park that is not Geo. I tried using the Image to Map functionality with the Virginia Maryland Delaware Openandromaps as the map and the PDF as the image. The process worked OK, but the resulting Map is offset everywhere by about 300m diagonally from the track and OAM map. I did it twice with different reference points, first 4 points, and then 11 points. Got the same result. Screen capture crop is showing track that matches OAM but is offset in new Map that Orux created.

I haven't done this for a long time, I will try to bring out the common factor of the problem
Regarding the map maker, it is true that it needs some improvements, such as remembering the downloaded area for future downloads, or something similar to your proposal.
