BTW: great feature! been trying to find 3rd party android app that would do more or less the same thing but nothing really worked, at least the SMS does work as intended!

I think it would be a nice addition to this tab to be able to add a ringtone to when it enters the 40seg countdown, it would help to avoid sending false alarms. Also could add an option to have it ring continually (like an alarm) until user cancels it, in case of emergency could draw attention to a unconscious person.

Ok,found out why it wasn't working for me: my "notification sound" was on mute in android settings. Still, think it would make more sense to tie it up with "alarms". But at least found a way to make it work for me

I would like to make a consideration of the barometric altitude calibration.

Currently I turn on the GPS and calibrate the barometer with my reference altitude but when start recording track calibration is lost and I have to recalibrate the barometer altitude again. It always generates a peak in chart and wrong statistics of gain and loss of altitude, velocity, etc.

I think the ideal would be the app keep the previously calibrated reference altitude priority on dem altitude or GPS when you start recording track.

Orux you could say what you think about it?

Some small stuff with orux-mf-theme://

- It says "downloading maps" in the notifcation area while it is downloading a map style

- after finishing, your are told that that you can select it via "tweaks-mapsforge styles" which is the pre-beta 6.4 way, now this button is found under maps menu - mapsforge theme

There is a little problem regarding mapsforge theme tweaks. The tweaks are saved across sessions meaning that I can switch theme and go back without losing my settings. This is nice, however it looks like that if different themes use the same name for layers they are influenced each other. They should be saved independently. For example, I have several test versions installed, if I turn off contour lines in one theme they get turned off in all the other themes too.

Other than that it seems to work well. I'll probably publish later today a new beta with the ability to turn off the background for multilayer maps.

Show altitude graph

This is a great feature, but it doesn't work in 6.4 beta 10. Is there anything more to setup? Doesn't see my position on altitude!?

A wish: Could this graph be sizeable? Example: the trip is 50 km and I would like to bring only 20 km on the screen to be more exact?

For me it is working. To see my position, I had to "follow" my route. Pinch to zoom inside the graph is also working for me.

I just published a new beta for my theme. Amongst the other things there is the possibility to make the background transparent for multimaps. Beware, it only works with the current beta, the playstore version will show an empty map.

now i created a multi layer map:

[1]First layer "OSM mapnik" with transparency 1.0 and multi checkbox on,

[2]second layer "Lonvia MTB" with 0.8 and multicheckbox off,

[3]third layer "Lonvia Cycling" with 0.8 and multicheckbox off

Now i display this new map. when i scroll around, zoom in and out. OM is halted.

Only happen on not already cached areas.

When i now start OM the app tries to display the same area and crashes sometimes again.

i seem not to happen with two layers.

Mobile: S4Active, Lollipop, not rooted.

Can somebody reproduce this?

When I load a theme with several map styles for the first time, like my Elevate theme, all layers are enabled, even those which aren't possible in the selected map style.

This issue disappears the first time the map style is changed, but looks weird (and ugly, as all routes - hiking, cycling and public transport are shown) for first time users.
