I have installed OruxMaps Version 8.1.6GP

I am not a «professional» user and use only a few applications.  Furthermore I did not use it for some time and have now problems to create a new route using OruxMaps on my smartphone Honor 8, Android Version 7.0

To create a new route I am doing the following procedure:

- open OruxMaps
- route tools → search route between 2 points → BRouter bar appears
- place crosshair at starting point → press green plus button
- place crosshair at arrival point → press green plus button → straigth line appears
- press blue o.k. button. → orux maps is searching for new route → see attachement

For some reason the system is not able to create a result. It is searching and searching.
I hope somebody can help me. Thanks.

P.S. Recording a new track works o.k
Following an existing track / route also is working o.k

Hi,
possibly you have not  installed the BRouter App (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=btools.routingapp) ?

Or, if BRouter is installed, not downloaded the required routing-data files, from within the BRouter App?

Hello Matt
Thanks for your reply.
I have installed the BRouter App and also I have downloaded the required segement. (E5_N45)
The map downloaded in Oruxmaps is -> Switzerland_ML (Mapsforge)
When I start creating a new route BRouter bar appears -> see attachement. Afterwards procedure like described in topic from January 7.

I have the uncertainty that I have changed or taped some setting in Oruxmaps, BRouter, Openandromaps. I am not a digital native and have difficulties to find such an error, but when I was using it in spring last year it was working perfect.

Hi Erwin,
it looks like your OruxMaps can not "talk" to your BRouter.
The behaviour you described in your 1st post, is what i see on a phone which has no BRouter app installed.

I would try to uninstall BRouter, (maybe now reboot phone..), re-install BRouter and download again the segment from within BRouters  Download Manager.

There is no setting in the OruxMaps app, related to BRouter; i  am pretty sure.
