Currently, I have fully transparent top notification bar (where clock and notification icons are) which makes if unreadable (see screenshot attached).

I can't find an option for configuring notification bar to be semi-transparent like bottom navigation bar or at least make it opaque (although I would prefer semi-transparency, just like in navigation bar).

Any help is appreciated.

La solución es que la hagas visible. Dale a la opción que desaparezca  a los 10 o 15 segundos y que solo con presionar la parte superior de la pantalla aparezca.

Global settings > User Interface > Miscellaneous UI > Semitransparent status bar
Check this, I think it does what you want.

It's already checked.

I tried unchecking it and checking it again, but it seems to not have any effect?

Sorry, I don't know. Are you running the latest version of OruxMaps? Toggling this works for me, running OruxMaps 8.1.8 GP on Android 11. When I check it, the top android status (notification) bar is semi-transparent. When I uncheck it, that bar is transparent.

I would create a new profile, "from factory Profile", just to see if your top bar becomes visible.
Then just redo the settings one by one, as you like.

I confused myself in my settings once, when i checked "Global settings > User Interface > Miscellaneous UI > Semitransparent status bar", and at the same time i had some strange combination in
"Global settings > Colors > Application theme (now i have "Light")
"Global settings > Colors > Dashboard/buttons background (now i have that on customized)
"Global settings > Colors > Custom background color (i have a very very light grey, almost white. But that affects only dashboard and left&right buttons?!)

Yep, now I have semitransparent notification bar. Good catch, thanks.

Before I do that, is there anyone (author?) interested in current configuration for my default profile which results in broken "Semitransparent status bar" setting for debugging purposes?
