Interruzione registrazione traccia in background

That's exactly what I thought when I watched the pictures. I'll try to record a route with OM 7.4.28 on a pixel 4a with Android 13 within the next days.

By the way, I think it's really important to mention the app's version number, the Android version and which phone is used (and of course I usually forget to post these information when reporting problems). Sometimes it makes it easier to detect the reason for errors.

La versione é: OruxMaps v.7.0.2
Comunque non ricordo quanti anni sono passati da quando ho iniziato ad usare Orux- sono molti e la versione allora era gratuita; tuttavia fino a qualche mese fa tutto funzionava benissimo. Ultimamente c'é stato un aggiornamento del sistema operativo del mio telefono e mi viene da pensare che sia stato proprio questo ad interferire con l'app.
Oppure, con l'intento di migliorare le prestazioni dell'app e/o del telefono, potrei aver modificato qualche impostazione all'interno di Orux al punto che ho causato il problema segnalato. Il fatto é che se fosse cosí non saprei quale sia il parametro nelle impostazioni da correggere.

Now that you comment on it Lenz, according to his screenshot it looks like an old version, because of the icons in the top bar, maybe this is the problem.

maybe you could try the latest free version OM 7.4.28 (https://oruxmaps.com/cs/es/m%C3%A1s/downloads).
I'm sorry but I don't have access to a Xiaomi phone with a newer Android version than 9. But according to your screenshots, the Android settings should be correct and I don't know any setting in OM which causes this error. Maybe the old OM version is the problem.

personnally I'm using rev 7.4.28 on a Samsung A41 (Android 13), on a Samsung S23 (Android 14), and I used to run on a Samsung A3-2016 (Android 7), and I never had any issue registring track in background, with none of these smartphones.
The only "differentiating" point between android 7 and andoid 13 a/o 14, being that in 13/14 we have to grant Oruxmaps with permission to use GPS "ALWAYS" (that is something that didn't exist in android 7)

Fatto Martin, scaricata ed aggiornata. Provo se funziona e ti faccio sapere. Considera che la versione che avevo io era vecchissima; credo quella immediatamente successiva al lancio di Orux. Comunque ribadisco che pur essendo una versine vecchissima non mi aveva dato mai questo problema.

Hello, with the permissions you have granted, it should not happen.
Check on Android if you have individual settings for background use
for the PPPs.
Also look in the Android toolbar, if there is a power saving button activated

Sí, autorizzazione concessa. Se vedi sopra ci sono le immagini di tutte le autorizzazioni concesse ad Orux in Android. Purtroppo non posso piú postare immagini; credo che lo spazio a mia disposizione sia finito.

Confermo quello che dici....anche io non ho mai avuto problemi di questo genere con telefoni meno recenti. Prima avevo un "Huawei Honor 7" e Orux girava perfettamente; schermo acceso o spento. Potevo effettuare e ricevere telefonate e la traccia veniva registrata coerentemente con il percorso effettivamente fatto.

Ed anche con il telefono attuale, prima dell'ultimo aggiornamento credo, Orux girava bene e la registrazione traccia era corretta.

Veramente le ho provate tutte.

Vediamo ora con questa nuova versione di Orux se va bene!!!

Buongiorno a tutti.

Ieri é stato un bel giorno" "Problema risolto!!!".

Dopo l'aggiornamento di Orux all'ultima versione "7.4.28" suggeritami, tutto si é risolto. Ho iniziato a registrare la traccia, spento lo schermo e, dopo circa 20 Km., ho riacceso lo schermo riscontrando che la traccia aveva continuato la sua registrazione fedele al percorso fatto.

Grazie a tutti, siete stati veramente di grande aiuto. Spero che questo argomento possa essere stato utile anche a qualcun altro.
